This is my fourth compilation of the caches in the Dartmoor National Park. In January 2014 there were 1,387 caches, 2,027 in May 2017, 2,318 in November 2018 and now 2,445 in January 2020. The growth in caches is therefore noticeably slowing.
Fortunately we have retained all of our oldest caches and seemed to have lost only a couple in the oldest 100. As I mentioned last time the newer caches have a different profile with many more Letterbox Hybrids and Mystery caches. We have a couple of fairly new cache owners who are placing many caches, but most of the caches are still being placed but a small handful of cachers, especially in the more remote parts of the park.
For visitors to the National Park, it is worth noting that we have a very high proportion of caches sized as small or larger. There are very few nanos and micros on the moor, which is excellent news for those wising to drop trackables.

This table can be sorted on any of the columns and the Search box allows you to search for any text, e.g. Owner's name or cache type. The link will take you to the cache listing.FP - This year I've added the number of favourite points, but I still think that the FPW is a far better guide to the quality of the cache.
FPW - I’ve also retained the Wilson Score Interval method to rate caches. This is better than a simple count or average of favourite points as it takes into account the total number of finds. It does not include logs from basic members.
